ACTSAdvanced Christian Training Seminars ACTS is an advanced training beneficial for those in leadership positions in ministries. It is a practical Biblical program to train national ministers to do the work of the ministry. In many nations the only ministry training available is either a very basic Bible school or one that requires leaving the country for a 4-6 year seminary. Departure from responsibilities of ministry and families is impossible for most. Thus many fulfilling full-time ministry positions, especially in the smaller cities and villages, possess little beyond the basic courses. ACTS is designed to meet a need for those who desire to be of greater spiritual service to their own people. While ACTS has a Spirit-filled emphasis, the seminar is offered to all Christian churches in an area. Importance is placed on a fruit-filled life and integrity. Many who have taken part have come to a greater degree of understanding and a unity between ministries in the area. It is not the Bean's intention to remain in any one nation, but to present the training for 3-5 months then proceed to another country of the Lord's choosing. When in a nation, George and Karen always submit to a local Pastor and seek counsel from an Advisory Board made up primarily of national ministers. It is not ever the goal to teach an American gospel or methods, but rather to be totally Biblical-based and culturally conscious. |
